My name is Carlos Mendoza, and I’m the founder of Rustic Yard Events, a boutique event rental company specializing in rustic, farmhouse-style décor. We offer everything from handmade wooden tables and wine barrels to lighting, lounge furniture, and dishware—everything you need to create a magical atmosphere for your event.
My journey began in Guatemala, where my family faced tough times with poverty and limited resources. We moved to the U.S. when I was seven, intending to stay only a few years. But life had other plans, and over time, I found myself building a new life here, driven to create something meaningful. After working for over a decade in the event rental industry, I took a huge risk by starting Rustic Yard Events after being laid off—and it turned out to be the best decision.Today, Rustic Yard Events proudly serves weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings across Southern California. Our clients love the unique, handcrafted touches we bring to every event, and we’re with them every step of the way, from planning to execution.
